The mods are somewhat flexible with the rules as long as the OP explains in the comments. The bottoms are truly BIFL, but the lids are crap. I have a bunch of these from when I got them around 15 years ago.įirstly, the lids are not leak proof, not even close. Put some soup in the bowl, snap the lids on, and tilt it sideways. These are useless for putting any liquidy food in a bag to take. It will leak everywhere, almost as bad as the lids not being there at all. Secondly, the lids will not last long if you put them in the dishwasher.
All of the bowls I have are no longer with lids, because they all got brittle and cracked. It didn't take anything more than a few washes for them to get ruined. Lastly, you should never microwave with plastic.
More than one scientific study has shown that microwaving with plastic will leach chemicals into your food. The ceramic bottoms (the actual bowls) are fantastic though.
